There are two bars for crew on the ship; the staff bar is quieter and nonsmoking, the crew bar smoky and too loud to talk. Both bars have their moments.
Since anyone can DJ in the crew bar, you get Latin Night, Macedonian Rock Night, Bollywood Night… The cartoon on the bottom is from a Filipino night, where a bunch of crew members just brought instruments and jammed. It made me realize how much I take the line between performer and audience for granted–and how much some cultures don’t.
Then the party bands–the professional musicians onboard–came down to play, and the vibe changed (as Mila notes).

I’m enjoying your comics greatly. I met your Mom at a dinner party at Irene’s house…she’s quite the storyteller. When she found out that I enjoy reading graphic novels and online comics, she pointed me to your web site and said that I would enjoy it.
She was right 🙂
Thanks! My Mom told me to look out for you–sorry I’m lame and took a month to reply!
Have you checked out Daytripper? It’s by Fabio Moon and Gabriel Ba–It’s the GN I’m currently reading on a loop…
What are you reading?
