One of the things to get used to on the ship is everybody’s obsession with hand sanitizer. I understand not wanting a stomach bug to go around, cause I’ve been on a ship when it’s gone on for a couple weeks at a time. It means extra work for the crew, the ratings go down cause the guests are freaked out and/or sick, everybody’s tired and irritable all the time…It’s no fun. Though I’m not sure that hand sanitizer really does anything that hand-washing doesn’t. But anyway, welcome to my job, where you wind up doing random stuff like that.
