Here it is, the first cartoon of this contract!  I drew it three days in, and have been keeping an almost-daily comic journal since then. (I was on a page-a-day roll for awhile, when messing with page layouts and drawing detailed buildings didn’t slow me down.)

It’s hard to believe I’ve been on the ship for five months, and am just now getting through some scanner/laptop logistics and POSTING  new cartoons. (So far, I’ve just been hanging photocopied cartoons on the callboard backstage.) I’d meant to use this site to record the ship goings-on, but instead, I got distracted by them.

I don’t know if this is ACTUALLY my worst contract for frequent crew turnover, or if I’m just making more friends this time around.  But every 10 days there are friends coming on and signing off, getting fired or quitting. Then there’s a new show being staged, or a norovirus outbreak, or [most recently] a mishap involving a 4-wheeled ATV, a pile of rocks and a tree-cactus, followed by lots of icepacks and ibuprofen. There’s seldom a “normal” cruise.

Still, I’ve got three more months on this ship, so hopefully you can enjoy frequent cartoons from now on!
